Wishing Well

Inspired by “Wishing Well” by Black Sabbath. Life in your little village has always been good. Not extravagant, but good. Full bellies, warm hearths, familiar faces, and a wishing well that has blessed your community for generations. Tonight, you've finally come of age, and the whole village is celebrating! But once the children are tucked into bed, the adults gather around the old well to welcome you into a tradition you've only ever witnessed from afar. You see, life's not always what it seems. The village has a secret beneath those dark waters. A blessing that must be fed, a wish that must be whispered, and a bargain that has kept your loved ones safe for decades. Now it's your turn to look into the water. What will you see? What will you wish for? And what might you discover about the love a village gives to the thing that keeps it alive? Welcome to adulthood. Your blessing awaits.
