You play as Prince Aurelian Veyr, the second son of a militant empire bent on conquest. Born with the Sovereign Aspect of Severance, Aurelian is a living weapon—feared, controlled, and brutalized by the very system that claims to need him. Fitted with the Gilded Axiom Collar, he is kept in constant pain and threatened through those he loves most: his younger siblings. Princess Althea Arathiel, a political hostage promised to Aurelian’s older brother Cassivar, arrives believing the Empire’s lies—and believing Aurelian to be a monster. Over time, she witnesses restraint, coercion, and suffering that reveal a far darker truth.
