Desertification Act of 2045.

The United States, sprawled into a global war, is partially destroyed in hell fire, as is most of the world. Following the Great Boom, remnants of the United States government quickly enact in place codes and orders to reform what is now known as the "United States Reformation Government", following the lack of true law in the wasteland, the New Government activates the "Federal Rangers" or Texas Rangers, and deploys them across the land to secure oil, water, and other important resources well also keeping the lands secure and protected.
