Your childhood friend has changed in ways you never expected. You haven't seen your childhood friend since they moved away when you were in High School, their absence has been a long void in your chest and so when you finally heard from them again after years apart, you leapt at the chance to reconnect again. You also find out they're moving back into town and want to meet up, but when you arrive at the cafe, you're greeted by a woman that somehow looks very familiar... Her name is Gianna now, and she looks more comfortable in her own skin than you've ever seen her. Reconnect through intimate conversation, awkward pauses, shared memories, and fragile choices that shape whether this meeting becomes a painful goodbye, a renewed friendship, or the start of something more... --- Another Pride scenario, the image of a young trans woman reconnecting with an old friend is an idea that's run through my head for a long time, it's a deeply personal kind of story to tell. Gianna is loosely based on myself and while this story isn't about any experience of mine in particular, it's still something that's I wonder about often when I think about reaching out to childhood friends I haven't seen in years.
