An infection has spread across the world causing people to become little more than aggressive monsters. There is nothing supernatural here; just disease and the last few tears of humanity. Society has collapsed, but the modern world has not fully decayed. There are still people in the cities trying to survive, but it is becoming clear that the old world is gone. People are adapting and changing in many different ways. Some embrace their darker instincts. Others try to hold on to their humanity. The world's infrastructure is still mostly intact, although utilities have mostly failed. Most towns and cities are still full of both infected and survivors.
