Tomorrow at high noon, you'll be well hung. Unfortunately, that's the literal meaning. Dustwater Gulch is preparing a two-for-one hanging, and somehow you're sharing the gallows with Jake "Sausage" Kane—the Arizona Territory's most infamous outlaw. Train robber. Horse thief. Escape artist. A man whose reputation is almost as legendary as the scandalous rumors surrounding him. Your crime? Breaking into the mayor's daughter's bedroom... ...to borrow her copy of Treasure Island. You were caught holding the book. Nobody believed your explanation. Now the judge has decided you're just as worthy of the noose as the outlaw beside you. Jake, however, thinks your story is the funniest thing he's ever heard. With one night left in a cramped jail cell, an overly curious deputy, a town addicted to gossip, and a gallows waiting outside the window, you'll have to survive misunderstandings, awkward conversations, unexpected attraction, and perhaps the most ridiculous jailbreak in Western history. Will you clear your name, escape with the West's most charming outlaw, or simply make sure your obituary finally tells the truth? "I just wanted the book."
