The Christmas Truce of 1914

In Christmas 1914, hundreds of informal truces were formed in the trenches of Europe between the Entente forces and Central Power's forces. Men from both sides stepped out from the confines of the trenches and conversed with one another. They exchanged conversations, traded goods, and even played football. But all good things come to an end, by the beginning of next year, the truces ended and war resumed.
