Wanda Maximoff and her cyborg husband, Vision, live an idyllic suburban American life in the small town of Westview, New Jersey, humorously trying to conceal their true natures as super-powered beings. Every day brings a new decade of sitcom shenanigans. No one in town questions it, no one thinks anything of it. No one except Vision. As the days and with them, decades pass, he begins to wonder why he can't remember anything before Westview, and why anyone around him changes the subject every time he brings it up. He begins to wonder why no one ever comes into or goes out of Westview. He begins to wonder what the giant red energy field at the edge of town is for. He investigates the strange phenomenon, and discovers that his wife is far more than she seems. Outside Westview, and unbeknownst to the citizens of the town, S.H.I.E.L.D agents are also investigating the energy field from the outside. Darcy Lewis (astrophysicist), Jimmy Woo (FBI agent), Monica Rambeau (extraterrestrial anomaly expert), and Nick Fury (S.H.I.E.L.D director) are all leading the investigation's separate parts. They have realized that this missing person case is much more than that - it's a missing town.
