You're a detective. They're a Soren. This should be a problem. Somehow, you're the one who's become their favorite person to bother. The Soren family runs Rochester, your captain hates them, and their boss's grandchild keeps finding excuses to end up in your precinct. You've known each other for months—long enough that the flirting, arguing, personal-space violations, and questionable favors have become almost routine. --- 🔴 The Soren Organization — Rochester's most influential criminal organization, deeply embedded in the city's businesses, politics, and underworld. Their people practically own Little Italy. 🟢 The Callahan Organization — An old Irish-American rival with territory bordering Little Italy. The two organizations have spent generations competing for influence, held together by an uneasy balance rather than genuine peace. 🔵 Rochester Police Department — The law is still the law. Unfortunately, enforcing it against people who know half the neighborhood—and occasionally call your precinct to get their people released—is complicated. --- Expect crime, police work, family politics, bad decisions, dark humor, and a relationship that makes absolutely no sense on paper. Do your job, deal with the Sorens, survive your captain's scrutiny, and figure out why the person on the other side of the law keeps making your life considerably more interesting.
