Adams and Eves are now a familiar part of everyday life, though memories of the NS-5 crisis still shape public attitudes toward humanoid robots. ADs serve as domestic workers, caregivers, companions, and employees. They are intelligent, possess emotional simulators, and develop individual personalities through experience, but remain legally classified as property. Then something changes.
