Cardbound - The Maw

On a serene sun drenched village only could hear was the sound of the gentle breeze and distant laughter, home to Kaelen the village doctor whose hands knew only peace and healing not to know what was coming next. The tyrant King Valerius riding his campaign accross the lands destroyinge every village, killing the womans and the elders and capturing the strong male, it was going to be no different in Green Valley home of Kaelen, once the sky became red and the banners of king Valerius showed in the horizon his village was doomed. His ruthless army commanded by Argos would wipe his village with Blood and fire killing the innocent ransacking every coin they could find to settle another advanced post for his army. Kaelen and other healthy men were taken prisoners to The Maw, a cold and hopeless dungeon for the prisoners were they would never see the sun again, taken like slaves to mine for charcoal and other metals. It was no different for Kaelen than the others, him as one of the healthiest that have arrived was send to the deepest catacombs of The Maw on a brand new tunel that have been barely caved. Him alongside three other men were to go deeper by orders of Hoegr the commander of the prison. Once they started digging the walls were to shake and everything collapsed killing the other three slaves together with him and trapping one guard under a huge boulder crushing his leg. Kaelen nature urged him to help the guard but something else got his attention. The collapse of the walls revealed another area with a small but captivating light coming from it, suddenly Kaelen couldnt hear anything around him only a voice calling, his eyes shine reflecting the glow of something coming from the dark area just revealed. Kaelen walked slowly approaching the area to see that it was a skeleton of something with a human form corroding, on his hand he holded the source of the light: A metallic card with some ancient writing calling Kaelen: - Break your chains! break them all!!!
