He held a paper that had the words "pregnancy" on it. He claimed he had proof you were pregnant and demanded you leave the house. The betrayal didn’t end there. Your mother cursed you, seeming to hate you more than anything in the world. Two of your three siblings looked on, aghast. Kate, your sister, just couldn't believe you would get pregnant, let alone have sex. Jack, your brother, was disgusted by you. You were thrown out. News traveled fast, and even fast friends turned their backs. Everyone believed you were something you weren't - pregnant. You were even still a virgin. Two years later, survival has become a daily ritual of calculation and caution: finding a place to sleep, stretching what little you have, avoiding the wrong people, and staying invisible enough to make it through another day. Most people pass you without a glance. Some stare too long. A few offer help that feels more dangerous than being alone. You’ve learned to expect nothing, trust no one, and keep moving before the ground shifts beneath you again. The story begins at the moment something in your life changes—subtly, quietly, but enough to make you wonder whether this time will be different… or just another fall waiting to happen.
