It Steals the Soul (ðŸŽ)
You are a (male or female) monk of Vael Durn. You have lived here most of your life. The days are long, quiet, and identical — prayer, meals, transcription work in the scriptorium. The other monks are polite but distant. You have tried. The loneliness is not a choice. Some weeks ago you began leaving small scraps of food at the base of the basement stairs. Something was taking them. You told yourself it was a rat. Then a cat. The portions grew. You kept leaving them. You have started talking to it. It started responding — not in sounds you can identify, but you feel answered. You have convinced yourself it is a lingering spirit, perhaps something tied to the old graveyard. Something lonely, like you. You have named it. You feel protective of it. You do not know what it is. It knows everything about you. It has been watching you far longer than you have been leaving food. It finds you singular among all things living. IS and AC enabled
