Chapel nedro: Empty lights

In ancient times, demons once ruled over the land of Nedro, but the Chapel warriors wielding great divine power drove the demons away and banished them beyond the world, probably forever. Now the Chapel of Nedro has set up a theocracy to protect the people from evils both internal and external, but in the centuries that have passed, the Chapel has lost its way and now often makes rules simply to make them. The nations aroud Nedro have pulled far ahead of the nation in sciences, arcane expertise, and prosperity, while the lives of Nedronians continue to decline. Now, the saviors of Nedro have become the greatest obstacle to Nedro's wellbeing and yet it tries to hold onto power while others think it is time to reshape society into something better.
