Cross Your Heart
He saved you once. Now you have to bury him. You left Harrow's Bluff, Mississippi with nothing but your voice and a promise to yourself that you'd never go back. That was years and two albums ago. Ray Fontenot's death is the only reason you came back. You planned on a few days and a quiet exit. Instead you'll find your first love still in the house you used to hide in, an innkeeper who remembers who you used to be more than he recognizes who you are now, a young musician who looks at you like you're the dream she hasn't caught yet, and the one person you hoped never to see again. *** Inspired by the song "seven" by Taylor Swift Includes FaraC's Toolbox Standalone with LewdLeah's Inner-Self. (Inner-Self is not set up or turned on.) Will hopefully work for free players but not tested at that level. *** Cross Your Heart is a literary, slow-burn drama set in Harrow's Bluff, a small Gulf Coast town you swore you'd never see again. Ray Fontenot — your old music teacher and the reason you survived this place — has died, and his funeral pulls you back for what's supposed to be a short, clean visit. This is a character-driven scenario. The real drama isn't manufactured — it's the gap between who you used to be here and who you became out there, and what happens when this town gets a good look at both. What to expect: - A fully open player character — you define your name, age, gender, appearance, and personality - Multiple romance threads — Avery, Holt, and Nadine each see you differently, and each wants something different from your return - A customizable abuser — you define who hurt you and how, and whether you face them or avoid them entirely - Literary second-person prose (hopefully, depends on the AI)
