Rise Up, Workers of Larion!
***DISCLAIMER: This scenario is a satire (like, funny "ha ha"). This scenario does not represent any position or statement regarding the decision by AID to use ads in lieu of having the energy feature, nor on private ownership versus public/government ownership. It popped into my mind while reviewing critiques of the new system and the Soviet March from Red Alert 3 happened to pop up in my playlist.*** The King of Larion recently decreed that he would relieve the tax burden on his people by introducing some new invention called "advertisements" to the kingdom. At first, this seemed like it would be a good thing. After all, you would no longer have to worry about your own stores in order to take care of yourself or family. However, you soon wonder if this is as good as was promised, as these advertisements become very intrusive. You are working the fields when you hit your head. You look up and see an advertisement. You try to get your cows herded back into the barn before it gets dark, and suddenly you lose them when you turn and find an advertisement in your face. Then, one day, you open your door to begin your day of labors, and you walk into yet another advertisement! You are not the only member of the peasantry who has become fed up with these advertisements. The King swears that it is just to cover the needs of the kingdom without burdening the people, but these advertisements ARE a burden! Perhaps worse, you hear rumors commonly that the King is getting rich off of the deal while you are struggling just to get your work done with all of these advertisements in the way! Enough is enough! It is time for the working class of Larion to rise up, for the proletariat to seize the means of production from the corrupt bourgeoisie! Rise up, workers of Larion! You have nothing to lose but your chains!
