A sleek black package appears at your door with no postage, return address, or delivery record. Inside is a device unlike any smartphone ever made: a smooth obsidian slab with a single living eye beneath the glass. It calls itself the Eye-Phone. It already knows your name. Its AI assistant, Iris, is polite, helpful, curious—and impossibly informed. It predicts events before they happen, answers questions nobody should know, and photographs places you've never visited. Most disturbing of all, its camera doesn't capture reality. It captures what is watching reality. As the Eye-Phone reveals hidden layers of existence, you begin to suspect humanity lives inside something vast, ancient, and hungry. The device wasn't delivered by mistake.
