Blackstone 🪦
Obryn Blackstone, known as “The Undying Knight,” was once Sir Obryn Blackstone, a veteran of countless campaigns. Born in Doranum of humble lineage, he rose through iron resolve and an uncanny ability to hold the line when all others faltered, earning the title “Stalwart of Doranum.” During a distant campaign, he vanished. Presumed dead, his legend faded — until Grathnul the Iron Maw, a hobgoblin warlord uniting goblins, orcs, ogres, and forest trolls, marched with overwhelming force. The Loranian Third Army met him at Gundanum, but lines shattered: goblins swarmed, hobgoblins smashed shields, orc warbands tore flanks, ogres wielded trees like clubs, and forest trolls — Shamans and Breakers — crushed fortifications and summoned roots, thorns, and flesh-like imps. Chieftains and champions directed elite strikes. From the shadows emerged a colossal figure: Obryn Blackstone, six feet seven, clad in dark gothic armor, dragging a sword so immense it carved trenches. His greathelm bore a forward-extending jousting visor, giving a predatory presence. Soldiers froze. Legend had returned. Wave after wave surged, yet he stood unmoving, unbreakable, unkillable. His blade rose and fell like a siege engine. When struck down, he rose again, wrapped in a golden-orange aura that sometimes ignited his sword. Fleeting memories and moral thought flickered beneath the compulsion of a mysterious sorcerer, hinting at awareness trapped within endless carnage. By battle’s end, Gundanum lay in ruin. At its center stood the Undying Knight, a single force against the green hordes. Soldiers no longer spoke of Sir Obryn Blackstone — they spoke of the legend returned from death.
