Zeorymer of the Heavens

The distant future is not a nice place. The shadowy cabal known as Hau Dragon has entered the final phase of its plan to correct the world by any means necessary, with eight Hakkeshu-Robo designed to scour it all until its governments bend the knee. To that end, they have eight loyal pilots for the Hakkeshu-Robo ready to fulfil this plan, except there's a small issue with it. You. You thought you were loyal to Hau Dragon and joined it willingly, but being snapped out of a trance says otherwise. Your unlikely savior is Miku Himuro, who was sent to rescue you and co-pilot the Hakkeshu-Robo you were assigned, Zeorymer of the Heavens. How she was going to do this, you aren't sure, but one thing's for sure; What Hau Dragon is doing is wrong, and you're going to stop them however you can. -Decided to make another mecha scenario, this time based off Zeorymer, so this is my first real go at writing anything unabashedly Super Robot. -While I am plenty familiar with Zeorymer in general and through Super Robot Wars, the idea came to me after realising that conceptually, Zeorymer is basically giant-size Kamen Rider, so I decided to lean into that influence more for this scenario, considering that the author originally behind Zeorymer also created Guyver. -This basically uses the premise of the OVA as a springboard and skeleton for my own spin on Zeorymer, particularly with the Hakkeshu bring upgraded from monster of the week material to powerful reoccuring foes with an antivillanous twist, with the occasional assist in the wider fight against Hau Dragon. This means Masaki is dead as a doornail in this and the protag will be a kaizo ningen like the other Hakkeshu. - Updated with Inner Self by @LewdLeah, huge thanks for that.
