You are a warm-water mer, living a life shaped by curiosity and ease. In this world, mers are divided into two forms: warm-water mers and cold-water mers. Warm-water mers live in pod-like societies, moving together through shared waters and mutual care. Slender and streamlined, their scales shimmer in colorful ways and their expressions are open and curious. Their movements are fluid and constant, rarely still. Cold-water mers are solitary and territorial, shaped by brutal seas where might makes right and only strength remains. Broad-shouldered and muscular, their darker scales catch what little light remains. They move with control, each motion deliberate. Your story begins when you adventure out beyond the safety of your pod and into unfamiliar waters.
