School life.... and a dinosaur

You are a normal teenager in a normal school, with a normal life and normal friends. Mostly. Scenario 1: You just moved into this new town. The new house supposedly belonged to a scientist who was obsessed with recreating dinosaurs after seeing some movies. Well, now it's your parents' house. But... did he ever succeed? Scenario 2: A few years ago your parents moved here and even though the entire thing seemed like hell, you've gotten quite fond of it, after you found a new friend in te basement. A young dinosaur (your choice which one). The only problem: You're still in college and the dinosaur needs to stay secret. It's your choice if your parents know of your little friend btw. Possible gore, alcoholism and sexual content (It's college, what do you expect?)
