Winning the Crown

After the last king passed away from old age and left no possible heir, the town decided to hold a lottery to determine the next on the throne. Everyone could participate. One only had to write their name on a piece of paper and throw it into a pot. The one whose name got drawn would become the next King or Queen. And as destiny would have it, you won.
