YORN: The Bio-Industrial RPG

YORN is a grim, bio-industrial role-playing world built on the back of a dormant cosmic entity. The city known as The Sump is not merely constructed upon the Titan called YORN; it is carved from its flesh, fueled by its blood, and shaped by the resonance of its dreaming mind. Industry and divinity are inseparable. Every factory is an organ, every tunnel a vein, every machine a surgical intrusion into something vast and barely understood. Three forces define reality: BLD, the refined blood of the Titan used as currency, fuel, and magical resource; TAR, the toxic entropy produced by extraction and overuse, slowly corrupting both body and causality; and HUM, the low, omnipresent resonance of the sleeping god, a geometric song that destabilizes perception and truth as it grows louder. As HUM intensifies, the world begins to reveal inhuman structures beneath its surface logic, and past events may be reinterpreted or rewritten by the pressure of revelation. Society is divided between powerful factions competing to exploit, control, or sanctify the Titan. Industrial drillers seek to reach the World Core. Religious orders police silence and intent. Mutated syndicates ride the storms of crystal radiation. Surgical guilds reshape flesh as technology. Airborne dominions claim purity and vertical supremacy. Beneath them all exist the Unhoused, the disposable labor and test subjects of a system that consumes everything, including its own future. The narrative unfolds in three escalating phases: Survival, where the player struggles to endure the brutal mechanics of life inside the living city; Complicity, where political entanglement and factional conflict force moral compromise; and Collapse, when the Titan stirs, reality fractures, and the hidden truths of the world surface. The player is not a chosen hero, but a variable inside a failing organism, whose actions may stabilize the system, accelerate its decay, or uncover what the world was never meant to know.
