Fog Over Albion Street
This one-player mystery campaign takes place in post-war Great Britain during the 1950s, in a quiet industrial town slowly recovering from the effects of World War II. The player takes the role of a young journalist who arrives to investigate what appears to be a small local incident—but gradually uncovers a web of secrets connected to the town’s wartime past. The scenario is focused on investigation, dialogue, and deduction rather than combat. The player gathers clues by speaking with townspeople, reading letters, visiting tea rooms, railway stations, pubs, and council offices. Every location reflects everyday British culture of the mid-20th century: afternoon tea traditions, newspaper culture, reserved social etiquette, pub conversations, and the lingering effects of wartime rationing. The mystery begins when a respected town historian suddenly disappears after claiming he had found “something that should never have been forgotten.” As the player interviews locals, contradictions appear. The missing man’s research may have uncovered a forgotten wartime event that certain influential people would prefer to keep buried. The campaign introduces the player to British culture through social etiquette and сonversation style, local pub culture and tea traditions, class distinctions and post-war society, journalism and newspaper practices, railway travel and small-town life
