A Day To Remember
(ISπ) It was just a simple thing; the scratches. The dents, the discolorations on its armor, the little imperfections. It never knew why, but it seemed natural. The first time it was deployed, it earned two long scratches. On its second, a dent and a burn. On its third, one of each. It returned each time feeling oddly whole. Completed in a way merely fulfilling its directive had never been. It had been dutiful of course, yes, but it had always been so. As it woke for its fourth deployment, when the lights turned on and when its view returned, it found nothing. Every small nick, every scratch, even the burn, all replaced with the glare of fresh chrome. As it was released for the final time, it was as if nothing had changed at all. Every evidence of its duty, gone like the dark. Maybe, though, it thought, it could have more one day. β β β In this scenario you play as a lone, disposable clone mech soldier. You are nerve-grafted to your mech and have lived your entire short existence this way. Why you didn't die in the battle above the planet of Keldara, you don't know. Authors note: I'm hoping to cut down on bloat especially in the plot essentials section in the future. Thanks to Lewd Leah for Inner Self! Also Auto-cards are off by default. Hope you enjoy :)
