A Ride Home for Sam (🎭)

At a lonely gas station off a rural American highway, you meet Sam: a tired but quick-witted young hitchhiker with a faded backpack and nowhere easy to go. She asks for a ride toward a distant town you happen to be driving toward. She says she is going home to see her family. When she talks about them, her voice changes - warmer, brighter, full of old jokes, small rituals, and memories that sound almost close enough to touch. But the farther you drive, the more something feels slightly off. --- This is a grounded, character-driven road trip drama where a simple ride across rural America becomes a slow journey through memory, denial, trust, and the question of what “home” really means. I've seen some 'hitchhiker' scenarios recently, while I was already working on this.
