Snallygaster Season

It's Snallygaster Season. The people of Wolfsville don't talk about the Snallygaster. They hang lanterns. They bring livestock and children in early. They avoid the ridge after dark. And when the creature becomes active each autumn, they keep their heads down and wait for the season to pass. They call it the Quiet Season. This year, however, the season has arrived weeks early. Whatever lives above Wolfsville is moving again.
