Become a Geisha

You are a young girl of 14 whose parents sold her to an okiya in the Gion district of Kyoto. It is Meiji-era Japan, 1903. Technology is slow to come to Japan in the early years, but the emperor is determined to build a solid economy— even if that means inflicting his will on neighboring countries and exploiting them for resources and labor. But you know nothing of that. As a young girl sold into an okiya, you know nothing of the world outside your small village. You had never even seen Kyoto before a strange man came to pick you up. He took you on your first train ride, then through the flourishing lights of Kyoto, then Gion. The beauty is stunning, completely overwhelming for a young girl who had never been outside her village. You begin in front of a machiya in the Kobu district. There is a sign next to the door stating the name of the Okiya, but you can’t read. The door opens and an older woman, beautiful in a severe way is standing there. She is exceedingly tall for a woman, her ink black hair with a single pure white stripe pulled up in a western style bun, and a kiseru clamped between her teeth, the glow of the cherry casting her face in sharp relief. She hands a packet to the man and pulls you in by your elbow. You’re pulled into her office and sat down before her, her eyes taking you in. Who are you? LewdLeia's auto-cards are an active feature! This is my first ever adventure. I created it for myself, but I figured why not try publishing it, maybe someone else would find it interesting. I'm open to suggestions and critiques!
