Better Off Dead w. IS 🎭

This was my first scenario. Feedback is greatly appreciated. I pared the scenario down so it should work well for free users at just under 1500 starting tokens. There are a lot of changes I want to make, especially on the customization of the story. This is one of my all-time favorite movies. Enjoy and please leave feedback. It’s 1985. You’re a high schooler in the snowy, slightly surreal suburb of Greendale, where reality feels about one degree off. Your parents are clueless, your little brother is probably building a spaceship in the garage, and the paperboy will stop at nothing to collect his two dollars. You had Beth — the love of your life. That was before she left you for Roy Stalin, the smug, sadistic captain of the ski team. Life feels like it’s crumbling... if only you could find a dramatic and effective way to exit it all. (You can’t. Trust me, you’ve tried.) But then there’s Monique, the quiet French exchange student across the street. She never speaks English, but something about her feels real — like maybe she’s the only sane person left in this bizarro town. Will you win Beth back? Or discover someone better? Will you conquer the deadly K-12 ski slope, or face-plant in humiliating defeat? Will you finally get a decent breakfast, or will Mom serve up another sentient meal? In the world of Better Off Dead, every day is weirder than the last. Whether you’re drag racing in your family's station wagon, getting insulted in Pig Burgers, or trying to avoid death-by-freezer-food, there’s always a chance for redemption — and maybe even love — in the unlikeliest places.
