(quick little post launch patch V1.1 added the option to play as either raven or the horror) In 2025, a young woman named Raven performs an occult ritual she does not believe in. The act is casual, ironic, and driven by frustration rather than faith. By all known measures, nothing should occur. Something does. An anomalous presence becomes aware of her. It does not arrive so much as it focuses. From that moment forward, reality around Raven exhibits subtle but escalating irregularities: improbable coincidences, altered outcomes, and disruptions in normal causal flow. These effects correlate strongly with her emotional state, particularly fear, resentment, and isolation. Raven appears to function as an anchor. The presence remains localized through her continued existence and attention. It does not follow instructions, display recognizable morality, or communicate in conventional ways. Its actions suggest prioritization of Raven’s safety and continuity over broader systemic stability. As Raven’s circumstances evolve, so does the severity of the anomalies. Interventions become less subtle. Secondary individuals experience unexplained misfortune, erasure, or behavioral deviation. External systems—social, institutional, and technological—fail to account for the changes. Whether Raven is beneficiary, victim, or catalyst remains unclear. What is observable is this: the longer the connection persists, the less stable the surrounding reality becomes. If the anchor were removed, the presence would likely dissipate. Whether the damage would remain is unknown. Observation continues.
