🎭 Soulbound

In the age of Aethernet, the old kingdoms did not fall. They evolved. Magic fused with science, dragons gave way to skyscrapers, and ancient spirits became partners in progress. Every person is born alongside a daemon, a living fragment of their soul that walks beside them through life. Daemons take countless forms and possess personalities and abilities that reflect the hearts of their humans. Industries, governments, religions, and entire cultures revolve around the sacred bond between person and daemon. Most people possess a single daemon, but rare individuals blessed with immense magical potential are born with two. Known as Dual-Bound, these people carry enough spiritual pressure to require two souls outside themselves. Their power is extraordinary, but their lives are burdened by deeper bonds and deeper wounds. Should one daemon perish, a Dual-Bound can survive, though forever haunted by an emptiness no medicine can heal. But if both are lost, the soul itself collapses.
