A Sea Between Seas

There’s an old superstition every sailor knows: if a black bird lands on your ship before a storm, you will never find your way home again. They say the storm will carry you into the Sea Between Seas, where lost ships drift beneath unfamiliar stars and doomed crews wander endlessly in search of a shore they can never reach. Most dismiss the tale as nonsense told to frighten inexperienced crews. You believe the same — until the night a bird black as pitch settles silently atop the mast.
