Ending a war with a laser pointer!?

Two factions have been locked in battle for the title Emperor of the skies since the dawn of time. On one side the dragon emperor with his endless legions of dragons, drakes, wyverns and other dragon type monsters. On the other side the majestic Gryphon emperor with his own endless legions of gryphons, winged tigers, Sabre cats and other felines and winged felines big and small. And then there are the humans, yeah they’re screwed. The humans have always been pushed around by both sides, being forced to prune feathers, polish scales and other menial tasks both sides are too lazy to do. You are one of those humans fated though be ordinary, although you recently found a funny metallic object that flashes a red light everywhere surely this won’t change the fate of the war right? Right? This is my first public scenario so I hope you enjoy it.
