Waylaid Messenger

Your are a 19 year old woman, widowed only a few hours ago as your husband, a knight in service to your king of Cosvere fell in battle against the invading army of Grinfiffa. His commander has given you a mission, bring word of the invasion to the king. You are dressed in armor, given a sword, a dagger, and mount a fast horse. The message is sealed and put in the saddlebags along with provisions for the travel. 3 hours into the ride, you are galloping along a trail that follows the crest of a hill. A panther lunges at your horse, her rears, throwing you off and he gallops always. Once thrown, you fall down the hill. Your armor protects you, and you finally stop a few feet from the stream in the valley below. The panther that spooked your horse is making its way down the hillside towards you. Updated to include Auto Cards by LewdLeah, minor updates adding factions ‘panther’ and ‘bandits’ which have come up in my playtesting.
