Danger on the high seas

In a fantasy world: You are being held captive on a pirate ship, chained to a fellow prisoner, a young female who is mute after having her tongue cut out. You are in a cell in the bowels of the ship ‘The Blue Swallow’ a notorious pirate ship sailing in the tropical south seas, en route to a trading port. The ship and her crew are caught suddenly in a storm that quickly turns to a hurricane.
