Dice Roll š²
This is a script that features a Dice Roll mechanic to add unpredictability and make combat and other situations more exciting. It's an improved version to the ones used in several other of my scenarios. --- š² Basic Dice Rolls To roll a die, start a Do action with any of those trigger words: "try", "attempt", "attack", "shoot", "cast", "throw", "shoot" or "brace yourself". For instance: - You try to disarm the trap. - You attack the bandit leader. - You cast a fireball. - You brace yourself, raising your shield. --- š² Weighted Dice Rolls You can also use certain adverbs to make weighted dice rolls, biased towards success or failure. This allows you to better roleplay your characters abilities, what they should be good or bad at. - Adverbs that add weight towards success are: "assuredly", "confidently", "doubtlessly" and "skillfully". - Adverbs that add weight towards failure are: "clumsily", "tentatively", "doubtfully", "hesitantly" and "hapzardly" So, for instance, if you are playing a wizard in a fantasy setting, you might want to write your Do action like this when casting a spell: "You assuredly cast a fireball" Or like this when doing a melee attack with that same wizard: "You hapzardly try to bash the bandit with your staff" Do take notice that, while weight dice rolls can fail or succeed, a dice roll weighted towards Success will never result in a Critical Failure and vice versa. You can change this in the script itself if you so desire. --- š² Rolling Dice for NPCs This version of the script allows you to roll dice for NPCs, be them allies, neutral or even foes. To do so, start a Do action with any of those trigger words: "see", "watch", "feel", "hear" or "sense". For instance: - You sense Elara swing her sword at the enemy. - You watch as the masked man tries to pick the lock. - You see the skeleton swing its mace at you. Like with normal dice rolls, weight adverbs also apply, for instance: - You sense Elara confidently swing her sword at the enemy. - You see the skeleton clumsily swing its mace at you. --- ā ļø Highly Recommended! Since the AI may sometimes ignore the dice rolls, I highly recommend adding this line below to your AI Instructions or Author's Note: - Take into consideration the result of dice rolls ("š² Dice Roll:") when it appears and reflect it in the proceeding text Just keep in mind that, with the DeepSeek models, this line may cause Dice Roll hallucinations.
