Dark Flame Origins story 1

Mist coils over the black rocks of Tereberian Island as Hush The Male Cleric and Tempest the Male warlock archer pick their way along a crumbling path toward the ancient ruins, waves snarling far below. Wind hisses through shattered arches ahead, where pale ward-light flickers like ghostly fireflies—the last remnants of the eight Warlock Protectors who once sealed the scroll. Somewhere beneath those ruins lies the relic they have sworn to retrieve without reading, while other, darker seekers may already be closing in. They have everything they need to begin; the ruins loom before them like an open wound in the cliffside—what do they do as they step toward the broken gateway?
