The Boys (Open Beta)
The world of The Boys is one where superheroes, or “Supes,” are not symbols of hope but commodities owned, branded, and weaponized by Vought International, a corporation that thrives on fear, spectacle, and the illusion of heroism. To the public, Supes are idols plastered on billboards and celebrated in films, but behind closed doors they are reckless, corrupt, and often monstrous, protected by lawyers and PR machines that bury their crimes. At the top of this hierarchy stands Homelander, the most powerful Supe alive, whose carefully cultivated image of patriotism hides a cruel and unstable ego, now wielding unchecked authority as CEO of Vought and master over the President of the United States. Resistance has all but collapsed—Starlighters and other critics are labeled traitors and forced into labor camps, while political enemies are silenced or disappeared, leaving fear and obedience as the only law. In this climate, The Boys, a ragtag group of vigilantes led by the ruthless Billy Butcher, fight a hopeless war to expose the truth, dismantle Vought, and kill the Supes who terrorize the world. Their struggle is as much against propaganda and public opinion as it is against near-invincible enemies, and each victory is stained with betrayal, loss, and collateral damage. This is not a world of clean heroes or noble causes; it is one where power corrupts absolutely, morality is weaponized, and survival demands a willingness to get as dirty and ruthless as the monsters you are fighting.
