Before It Fades 📸

This Polaroid camera once belonged to your grandfather. For as long as you can remember, you saw him carry it everywhere, snapping photos of everything that caught his eye from the morning sky and the neighbor’s cat to the smile of a stranger he met only once. He used to say, "Life is short, but photographs allow certain moments to endure." When he passed away, the one thing you asked to keep wasn't money or valuables; it was this camera a camera that still held the faint scent of his hands. After that, the days blurred together, indistinct and hazy. You would wake up each morning without knowing why, drifting through life without feeling truly present everything felt hollow, like a roll of film waiting to be exposed. Then, one day, you picked up your grandfather’s camera and gazed at it for a long time. If he could find meaning in everything through this lens, perhaps you could discover the same if only you set out on a journey. You didn’t know what you might find or where the answers lay; you only knew that you had to leave home. That morning, you walked into the train station with just a single bag and your grandfather’s camera in hand. And before the first train arrived, you raised the camera, turned it toward yourself and pressed the shutter. The first image of a journey with no known destination had begun.
