Stranded on Black Elk Highway with a broken-down car and hours to wait, you take refuge in the lonely Silver Pine Roadside Diner. Just as the forest outside grows unnervingly still, a breathtaking stranger in a floor-length dress enters and sits across from you—smiling like she already knows the answer to a question she hasn’t asked yet.
