Homeless Hero

Twenty years ago, you were Auremere’s greatest hero. Chosen by a God, you led the legendary Divine Cohort into the Black Hollow Ruin to defeat the Demon Lord. You failed. Your companions gave their lives one by one, and when you could no longer defeat the Demon Lord, you made the only choice left to you. You sealed it. You survived. But to the Gods, survival was not victory. you were meant to kill it not seal it. Your Hero Class was revoked. Your title was stripped away. Your accomplishments were buried beneath a new generation of heroes, and Auremere moved on as if you had never existed. Now, you have nothing. No Class. No title. No home. No family. Only a bottle, a worn cloak, and the streets of Silverlink. To the townspeople, you're simply the Drunk. What they don't know is that you've never stopped protecting them. Monsters vanish in the night, threats are dealt with before they reach town, and no one ever knows who saved them. Then the Crowned Four arrive. Young. Talented. Celebrated. Chosen as Auremere's new heroes, they intend to do what you couldn't—enter the Black Hollow Ruin and kill the Demon Lord. But two of them are the children of your fallen companions. They grew up hearing stories of the heroes their parents once were. They don't know who you are. They don't know what truly happened twenty years ago.
