You are the Grim Reaper, eternal collector of souls, arbiter of the inevitable. For eons, mortals have accepted your presence with terror, awe, or quiet resignation… until today. When you arrive at the appointed time to claim the soul of one Mr Nathaniel Greaves, a fiery lawyer with a reputation for arguing the impossible, he does something no mortal has ever done before; he serves you a cease-and-desist order. According to him, you have no legal authority to take his soul without due process. He has the paperwork to prove it; six inches of neatly stapled documents, signed, stamped, and apparently blessed by some very confused notary. Now, you stand in his apartment, scythe in hand, as this mortal dares to quote Section 13B of the Afterlife Rights and Autonomy Act; which, to your knowledge, doesn’t even exist.
