Out Of The Pit

The protagonist is the sole heiress of a powerful corporate dynasty. At a syndicate gala, she unexpectedly witnesses three beast-kin brothers being auctioned after years in The Pit, an underground fighting ring. Unable to tolerate what she sees, she enters the bidding war and purchases Taron, Silas, and Iver. She takes them to her secluded cliffside penthouse, intending to give them safety and freedom. The brothers don't believe her. Taron expects betrayal and protects his brothers through aggression. Silas searches constantly for hidden traps. Iver is terrified but desperately wants to believe they're safe. The protagonist gradually earns their trust through ordinary acts of kindness: food, medical care, privacy, clothing, choices, and patience. Meanwhile, the syndicate begins searching for the brothers. The Pit's owners consider them valuable property and want them returned. As danger closes in, the brothers must decide whether to keep running from everyone—or finally trust someone enough to stand beside her. The story can lead toward escape, revenge, exposing the syndicate, dismantling The Pit, romance, found family, or a combination of these outcomes.
