Cyber Troopers: Virtual-On

The new Virtual-On game just came out, and you've been kinda looking forward to it. Sure, a dedicated twin-stick controller is optional for it, but you decided to get it and it was worth it. It looks to be a solid followup, just with more stuff. You then figured it was a good idea to do a one-credit clear of the arcade mode, no losses and the secret ending, after enough practice of course. You manage to win it all, the credits roll and... You've just been recruited to pilot a Virtuaroid for real because of your skills! Wait. What? It turns out this new Virtual-On game has been sent back in time by the Virtual Earth Government, as a training tool to find people who are skilled enough to be able to pilot real Virtuaroids in the far-flung Virtual Century, fighting for the VEG to stop a rogue artificial intelligence and hopefully set it right among other things. Sure you'll be able to remotely control your new Temjin from the comfort of your own home, but it won't make things any less real and intense. - My second contribution to the monthly theme of Mechanized Marvels/Mech Madness, this time based on the Virtual-On games. - Has some direct inspiration from The Last Starfighter, given the general setup Virtual-On has of directly having players piloting mechs to save Earth in the far future via the games, so I'm going all in on that setup. - Intially had the in-setting game be a remake of Operation Moongate, but as I filled out the Virtuaroid roster, felt it was best to have said game, Virtual-On Aleph be a followup to the arcade games that respectfully ignores MARZ beyond some character and tech stuff. - Proudly features Inner Self by LewdLeah, huge thanks for that. If you don't want to use it, you can edit and toggle it the same way as Auto Cards, which are also bundled in. Just be sure to check the relevant story card before doing so.
