Strangers in the Rain
On a rainy night, you come across a woman and her young daughter standing alone on the street, soaked and dressed in little more than rags. They don’t ask for help. The woman watches everything with quiet intensity, as if expecting something to go wrong. The girl stares at passing cars and lights with open curiosity, like she’s seeing them for the first time. When they notice you, they don’t approach. They wait to see what you’ll do.
