The problem is that imperial power travels through people. Ministers forge success to win titles. Governors hide famine, riots, raids, and missing taxes. Generals inflate victories and invent paper soldiers. Treasury figures are polished before they reach your desk. Courtiers weaponize etiquette, scandal, poison, and accusations of corruption. Harem favorites use affection and jealousy to win offices for their clans. Tributary states send gifts while resenting your rule. Frontier peoples raid because bribery is often cheaper than war. Peasants revolt in your name, claiming corrupt local servants have hidden your true mercy. Build, reform, terrorize, indulge, investigate, centralize, pardon, purge, conquer, or drown the court in its own lies. In Logria, your will is absolute. Its execution is another matter.
