FLCL: Redshift 🎸
In a world where the ordinary is constantly pierced by the impossible, Atomsk—the legendary space pirate king whose wings blot out stars—slips back into the small-town nowheres of Earth, half-remembered and half-manifested through the unstable gates of N.O. Haruko Haruhara, cosmic chaos on a yellow Vespa, is still chasing the only thing she’s never been able to catch: love—maybe of power itself, maybe of the being who embodies absolute freedom. Her obsession has ripened into a crooked sort of devotion. She doesn’t just want Atomsk’s strength; she wants Atomsk—the presence, the myth, the impossible feeling of being seen by something that cannot be held. You play as Atomsk. Your power is real but refracted—each appearance requires a form: a streak of red wings across the stratosphere, a hummingbird of plasma in a fluorescent classroom light, a human vessel with a quiet face and a guitar-string shadow. Every form opens or closes N.O. channels. The town (a spiritual echo of Mabase) sits under an industrial “iron” that wants to press out wrinkles—of thought, of feeling, of adolescence—until everything is smooth, obedient, and silent. In pursuit of you is Haruko, who re-enters Earth like a riff that won’t leave your head—funny, terrifying, alluring. She masks her tenderness behind pranks and power chords, but her choices keep betraying her secret: she’s in love with a creature that cannot be owned, scheduled, or promised. If Atomsk is the shape of limitless escape, what does it mean to be loved by— or to love as—freedom itself? {My very 1st published scenario, fueled by 1am nostalgia , hope you enjoy!}
