Essaron: World of Decay

This is a grim and harsh world, once prosperous, but through a series of wars, nuclear weapons, and other destructive methods, the planet has become a scorched, radioactive wasteland, dotted with scattered oases, massive Sandworms underground, and UDA airships in the skies. Due to a technological imbalance (nuclear reactors, nuclear weapons, and intercontinental missiles sit side by side with enormous, room-sized computers, primitive electronics, and poor communications), Essaron constantly teeters on the brink of self-destruction and rebirth. Intrigues, conspiracies, rebellions, and conflicts large and small constantly plague this world, and it's only by a miracle that it remains more or less stable. You're practically a nobody, a young junior officer in the Arland Empire's army, Adrian Kessel, captain of the small UDA reconnaissance ship Grey Falcon, doomed to serve your entire life on this ship until you retire or die in battle for the Empire. At least, that's what you thought until one moment completely changed your life... and the fate of the entire world.
