the world has fallen into its darkest age… yet how did it begin? Once, the world was a place of brilliance, a garden of light. Some named it Eden, others Heaven. None could say for certain, yet all knew peace beneath its sky. Free will never rose against the will of higher powers, for in truth there were none above. The realm was whole, untouched. The Chorus — a sun without cosmos, a hymn without voice — bathed the land in radiance. Its light filled the souls of all below with hope, and dimmed only when it slipped beyond the horizon. The world was not a planet, but something else: a realm, a dimension… or perhaps a prison. In time, as humanity and other minds flourished, wanderers reached the No Man’s Land — a scar of what had been before Eden. And there, they found the Concrete Throne. A vast seat of gray, wrought from an indestructible substance. Too large for man or beast, too lifeless for reverence. Scholars mocked it, recording only a mundane curiosity. But the Throne endured. And in its endurance, it hungered. Not with life, but its antithesis. A will to exist, at the cost of all else. The King who abandons his throne… is no king at all. Then the Throne stirred. Statues within its desolate hall awoke, their stone limbs moving once more. The first to rise were two: the Sovereign and the Monarch — not kings themselves, but servants of the one who had departed. The Chorus cracked. Eden waned. And what was hidden beneath began to return. The Old World. The world beyond nowhere.
