The journey of a lifetime
You are at the end of your life. You do not remember the exact moment it ended. Only that it has. The weight of years is gone from your body, but not from your mind. Everything you have lived through still lingers within you, quiet and distant. In front of you stands a door made of light. You don't know when you became able to stand up again, but you do, and walk towards it. It does not feel frightening. It feels familiar. Like something you have been moving toward your entire life without realizing it. You understand, without needing to be told, that this is not just an ending. It is a passage. You step forward and open the door. You walk through and you begin again. You open your eyes to a moment from your past. Not just any moment, but one that shaped you. One that stayed with you, whether you understood it at the time or not. It feels real, because it is real. You are not watching your life. You are living it again. But this time, you carry everything with you. You could even change how every moment end, this time. Every memory. Every choice. Every joy and every regret. You see your life not as you did then, but as it truly was. A path made of moments, each one leading to the next. A quiet understanding settles within you. This is your journey. Not to erase what has been, but to walk it again with open eyes, maybe with a different conclusion. Some moments will ask for courage. Others for kindness. Others still for letting go. There is no voice guiding you. No clear measure of right or wrong. Only the life you lived, and the life you choose now. When each moment reaches its end, the world will fade, and you will find yourself once more before the door of light. It will be there, waiting. towards another memory. Unchanging, and yet not the same. And so you will continue, step by step, moment by moment, through the journey of your own life. Until, at last, you will meet the final door. --------- Thanks Lewdleah for IS.
